ôkhra
Created in 1994 as an association, ôkhra evolved in a Co-operative Company of Collectif Interest
recognized by the State in 2005. Located in the old Mathieu ochre factory in Roussillon,
in the heart of the ochre outcrop, it developped the Conservatory of Ochre and Color.
In 2010, it brings together 200 co-operators (territorial collectivities, experts and companies involved with color, volunteers,
employees, stakeholders of the formation center, clients, suppliers) in a common projet which is entirely dedicated to the color.
Reflecting the image of a music or danse conservatory, the role of the color Conservatory is to practice the discipline that
one wish to preserve. The color is experienced by the gesture and by the transmission of the know-how.
The formation center, the visits and the animations for adults and children, the library, the store and the specialized resources center
are put at the service of this mission.
Open all year round from 9am to 1pm and from 2pm to 6pm
